  • Rest well and avoid strenuous activity for the first 24 hours

  • Don’t spit, rinse, or use a straw on the day of treatment

  • Wait until numbness wears off before eating

  • Eat only soft, cool foods for the first few days

  • Avoid hot, spicy, sticky, or crunchy foods

  • Apply ice packs to reduce swelling (10 minutes on, 10 minutes off)

  • Avoid smoking and alcohol for at least 72 hours

  • Don’t chew on the treated side after fillings or root canal

  • Mild sensitivity to hot or cold is normal and temporary

  • Use painkillers as prescribed or advised

  • Be gentle while brushing near the treated area

  • Don’t brush or rinse directly over surgical or gum-treated sites

  • Maintain good oral hygiene but avoid vigorous rinsing

  • Use gauze or ice for minor bleeding or swelling
